How much does it cost?

Our 2023 fall season is $350, with an early registration fee of $250 offered with
payment in full through February 28, 2023. Pop Warner Cheer is an exceptional
value, especially when you consider the length of the season, and the
number of hours our athletes and volunteer coaches commit to the
program.

Our 2023 Spring season is $200 for cheerleaders returning from fall '22 and $300 for cheerleaders who did not participate in our fall '22 season.

*Game Day Kit must be returned at the end of the season

SQUAD DESIGNATIONS:

Cheerleaders are assigned to squads based on grade, age and
experience, at the sole discretion of WSPW. Provided below are
the available divisions for cheerleading:

AGES FOR CHEERLEADING PROGRAMS:

MITEY-MITE 7-8
JR. PEE WEE 9-10
JR. VARSITY 11-12-13

PRACTICES:
Fall season practices begin on August 1, 2023 and will be held at the WSHS cafeteria.
Practices are not optional!

Cheerleaders are responsible for bringing a large thermos of water, a towel
to sit on during warm-up exercises, bug spray (to be applied prior to
practice). Please note, WSPW does NOT provide water during practices.

Practices for Spring '23 season will begin on Thursday, January 19, 2023!


SEASON:
Our focus for the upcoming season will be on fun and physical fitness while
maintaining a strong emphasis on scholastics while developing excellent cheerleaders!

WSPW is a sideline cheerleading program as well as a competition program,
and all cheerleading squads will

cheer for their respective football team at regular and post-season
games. The regular season runs from August 1 through late October, with
games being held on Saturdays beginning at the end of August.  The game
schedule will be available in late July, prior to the start of the season.  
Additionally, cheer teams will cheer for their respective football teams at ALL 
postseason games. 

As we move into September, we will begin to work on competition
preparation where the focus is on tumbling, stunting and dance and all other
elements for our competition routines. Our teams

will compete in the Mid Florida Cheer Competition held at the end of
October. Teams placing 1st and 2nd will advance to the Southeast
Regional competition, which is held during Thanksgiving weekend. Any
teams advancing past regionals (placing 1st or 2nd) will have the option of
competing at the Pop Warner National Competition in December.  Additionally, 
our cheer teams will perform at the Kaleigh Ottis Memorial Cheer
Fest.  

We will also be offering a Spring Competition Team, which will begin practice 
in January, 2023 and will attend two competitions in April.  We do not cheer at football games during the spring.  The spring season is January 17th  through April 22nd. 


Each Cheer Family will receive a Parent/Cheerleader packet at the first practice,
which will contain more detailed information and expectations for the 2023
season. Please continue to check the website for more updates as well.
